My Days In Spokane...

...are coming to a close. The last 2 weeks have flown by as I prepare to go back to Utah! Just wanted to put a few more pictures on, mostly to help remind me of some sweet people and experiences I have had while here!

This is "my wall" that they gave me at Barnes & Noble to create. It is Gaiam products...yoga, pilates, etc. They liked it and it was fun to do it!This is Steve. He was the first interviewer I had. Nice guy and a BIG Cowboys fan!

This is Lesley, my Store manager. She & I had alot to talk about with my previous experience with Coldwater Creek! She LOVES CWC!! The faces on the right are Ameera and Diane, 2 assistant managers.

Here is a picture of Diane, myself and Betsy...Betsy is the lead over the music department. Betsy loves all things ABBA!! She taught me alot about music...see? You can teach an old dog...Now to Fred Meyer! That is Myranda behind those boxes of candy! She is the dept head and lots of fun. Ever wonder what grocery stores look like at 4 am?? These pics tell ya how fun it really is!
This is Josh and Jacob. The 3 of us trained together and worked together every day!

And here is Aisle 12!! This is my aisle!! All the products in those red totes and brown boxes all have to be on the shelves before 7 am!! It is quite a job for this old lady!!
These have been great jobs for me. I have been challenged to get up early, and to learn computer systems, but am so grateful for the good people who helped me and made it so much more fun!! I will definitely miss them! (I took pics of everyone at both jobs, but just chose a few to put on my blog. Hopefully, I will get around to making scrapbook pages of all of this!)

My cousin, Dale...

Dale & I have been more like friends than cousins since I was in 7th grade! When my grandfather died, I first met him and we hit it off right away. He is a year older than I am, but he included me in alot of things once we moved back to Spokane (he even took me to the stage play "Jesus Christ Superstar" in 1972) and we double dated in high school! He was dating a girl named Sue (who he married right after he graduated and had 2 great boys with) and I was dating Bruce. Anyway, he now lives in Yakima, Washington and had come up to Spokane for the week to see his Mom - who is my Dad's younger sister. We spent Tuesday remembering alot of good times and we went to dinner at The Spaghetti Factory and then went to a movie. It was alot of fun!
This last week has been a crazy one for me. I am trying to rest a bit...we did inventory till 3 am at the bookstore and I was juggling both jobs all week. I am pooped!! But, today is a day off of sorts...my friend Pam in Coeur d'Alene asked me to help throw a birthday party for a friend. This is a second job for Pam (she teaches reading)...she loves this kind of thing just like I do. So, I am off to help her cook, prepare, decorate...all that fun stuff!! Then I am back to work tomorrow bright and early!!

A little more Spokane...

I tried to delete this picture of me...decided it made me look wrinkly...but it has a mind of it's own tonight. A friend did my hair...not as good as Jamie, but ok. It is a little more red ALL over...

I went to Relief Society meeting last night and was asked to bring a healthy snack. This is one of my favs and you may remember it from Halloween at Allie's party. This time I needed to have it presented a better way. When all you've got is celery and peanut butter - it's all in the presentation...
This is my Uncle Gene LeGrant (my Mom's only surviving brother) and my Aunt Peggy. We got to visit with them yesterday and I sure loved it!!My Uncle Gene never changes!! My Aunt Peggy just keeps shrinking...
Last Saturday, my best friend from HS and I went to breakfast. She won't let me take her pic (she promises it will be soon), but I could take one of the food we attempted to eat. This place is well known for their breakfast treats, so we HAD to try it all!! Those are omelettes, french toast, potato pancakes, abelskivers stuffed with sausage, blueberries or plain, pancakes (?) and crepes. YUMMY!!
I also met up with members of the drill team from HS and had lunch! And, I just got back from Zumba...an aerobic dance class with lots of hip action...which I loved!! I have been going out to Coeur d'Alene and doing stuff with Pam Knight each weekend and she took me with her to class. Then we came home and ate salad...being so good...
This week, I start a second job. I am going to be helping in the health & beauty aids section at Fred Meyer early in the mornings till 1pm 3 days a week. Barnes & Noble are scheduling me around Fred Meyer. It keeps me busy...

Spokane...family & friends...

Here is Barnes & Noble...located at the Spokane Valley Mall. The place to find me most evenings!! It's a nice place to work...very nice people and sometimes someone I used to know!!
This is my sister, Pam, and her hubby Steve. They had me over for lunch one day and dinner the next week!! BBQ steaks...yummy!!
"Sisters...sisters"...to the tune from White Christmas! I keep telling Pam she shouldn't dye her hair so white!!
Some VERY special friends!! Some of my family should recognize these two...Pam & Carl Knight! Carl & his big bro Roger used to go to our school and Bruce's Mom worked for his Dad when they lived here. Pam worked for Bruce at Blazer Finance in the early 1980's and they babysat for us quite a bit...they remember our kids so well and they were talking about them all night. Carl didn't take his hat off, but he is bald on top! I went to their house for Valentine's dinner and we had a great time reminiscing!!

Dancing girls...

I love "Beat It" and they are so cute...I hope you don't get tired of all of these...Al is in the front right and Bean is behind her!

Some cute video...

With all of these, Allie and Bean are within close proximity to each other, so hopefully you can tell which girls they are! During one of them, Bean is behind the tallest girl most of the time. In Lauryn's dance, she is in the second row, in the middle...she was really darling!! They ALL were!! Enjoy!!

Fun stuff in December!!

I have tried to rearrange these photos and have lost them numerous times, so I am just gonna leave them as they are...which is out of order!!I don't even know why this is underlined, but I am not messing with them anymore!!Above are my Stansbury Cougar fans...they were headed to a Las Vegas Bowl party...I understand they had fun!
Here is Mara, the official Star Topper this year! Pretty fun stuff happening here ...notice the crooked picture?? My friend made that for me (Julie Young...she draws for a lot of Church stuff) and it didn't have the right type of hanger thingy on it. Bruce said to leave it...it gave balance to the room. I thought he was just joking...but it is still like that to this day, although he did buy the wire and all to fix it...

Here are my 3 dancers! They sure put alot of make-up on these girls so that they look professional! They are wonderful dancers, though!! It was Michael Jackson tribute night and we recorded a few dances...here is one of those as well. I thought Tessie would like it!!
