I got word today that my step-father passed away this morning. He was at the family dinner on Thursday evening and had a great time, but Friday morning had a bad pain in his chest. It turned out to be a blood clot in his lung and he passed with his 3 kids and 4 of my bros & sisters at his side.
He married my Mom 1o months after my Dad died and he made her so happy for the 12 years they had before she died in 1990. He has been so lonely and I can just imagine the reunion...although my Dad is there, too, so who knows?? So, it has been a sad day here. It all can happen so fast!! I'll miss you, Orv!!

Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about Orv passing, but I'm so glad you got to see him so recently. Usually timing isn't that good.
It looks like a great time with so much of your family. Glad you could go.
I am so sorry, but I am so glad that you were able to see him just a few days before he passed.
