On Sept. 4 th we had our United Way Day of Caring for the Salt Lake area. Bruce is on the Board of Directors, so some of his credit union employees (& me!!) went to volunteer what was supposed to be 3 hours of work to the Discovery Children's Museum at the Gateway Mall downtown. Turned into 6 hours for most of us! It was great, they had us build science kits for 5 th grades to use at their schools. What happens on this day is that several organizations request help and all volunteers from our area (SL and 4 other counties) go to different sites to build, paint, teach, organize or whatever work needs to be done. We got lucky!! So the first 2 pics are of us working and of Bruce being introduced and thanked at the 7am kick-off breakfast!

I had to add a couple of Ozzy pics. He is growing like crazy and is acting that way, too. Trying to get him to sit still for a pic is not easy!! He just makes me laugh!!
Bruce & I were able to spend last Wed-Sun in Monterey and it was so beautiful! This is our hotel and we were right on the bay. Eating breakfast while watching the sea otters and sea lions was fun each morning. And, I got to go kayaking amongst them. Bruce had alot of mtgs, since he was on CU business, but we did get to go to Pebble Beach...he loved that! We didn't golf...$500.00 a round was kinda pricey, don't ya think?
These are out of order, as usual...this was last night's b-day party. 52...what an old geezer...glad he's older than me...for another 6 weeks, anyway! The day was golf (Bruce & I snuck away for 9 holes) and shopping and BBQing (grillin' to you Texans ;)). Lots of fun! Bruno doesn't look a day over 29!!
See?? It just took a good tackle to get him to sit still (I let HIM tackle me...what a baby!!). Isn't he cute?? When he was groomed last time they cut the fur off his nose, I like it better with the fur!!
I also had a little visitor the other day! For those who remember Marisa from Provo days, this is her little boy, Tolton. He is a cutie and it was the 2nd time I had seen him!! He loved Ozzy!
Here are our birthday boys!! I hope they had fun last night and they know just how much they are loved!! They are lucky to have each other...it is so cool that they share the same bday!! We missed all those who couldn't be there, but know you were thinking of them! Becky even called in the middle of all the noise!! Jamie is doing pretty well. She is able to move around a bit and the dr says everything looks really good.
That has been a few of the things happening around here. There have been lunches with a few friends, a wedding shower held here for my friend Jolyn's son's fiance, Jake & Sarah visits, Kenny McKenna (Spencer's friend) came to stay for a week and left unexpectedly (his family missed him in Oregon, I think), YW Volleyball games and the normal everyday happenings that make up my life!! Thanks for letting me share a few of them with you! I can tell October is filling up fast!! I'll try to get a few pics...Have a great day, week, or month!! I promise to keep smiling if you will!!

Is that Sarah? What are they doing up there AGAIN?! It looks like you have been doing lots of exciting things. It also looks like those candles were melting for a long time! Oh, and Marisa's little guy is adorable!
Jake had an interview yesterday at Weber CU!
The candles had to wait until Dad went to grab our camera so I could get a photo!!
Tolton IS adorable...he just started walking and came right to me...he has no fear - even from Ozzy.
